Fall in the 'Hood (42)

Fall in the 'hood - September 28, 2008

We returned from our road trip (yet to be posted) and the weather was so great we HAD to take a LONG walk around the neighbourhood with the camera. Here are the pix.

Canada Olympic Park is across the river from us - the clue is the tall ski jump on the far left of the pix. COP extends to the right (west) from there. Bowness is below where all the trees are, the Bow River with the train trestle bridge is there, too. We are about a one minute walk from this spot overlooking Bowmont Park.

Train starts over the trestle.

Train crossing trestle.

This is a different train - just finishing the crossing (we are down the hill this time).

Joe walking along the river pathway.

Magpie.

Back in the residential part of our area.

Downtown in the distance.

Wild rose hips. Wild rose is the Alberta provincial flower.

Thistle gone to seed. We have a lot of thistles here!

Mountain ash close up.
